High Vibrations!

“I just want the next three days of my life off”….is something I said to a friend while sipping on a vodka and cranberry juice in a bar in Aspen, Colorado. My friend burst into laughter so I joined in… but I wasn’t laughing inside. I thought travelling was going to be the answer, the final destination and answer of my self-discovery….but it wasn’t. Feeling exhausted from my own mind and realising I wasn’t any closer to knowing who I was, I just wanted to disappear.

When you have a low self-esteem it is something that hits you in the face every minute of the day. You are constantly picking up the pieces of your own self-pity and it feels as though you are the only person on the planet who feels that way. You are constantly trying to portray as though you are somebody who has confidence, somebody who isn’t lacking anything and through this facade you enable a vicious cycle and continue to lose yourself by creating more and more false layers over your true authentic self.

Admitting that you lack confidence and suffer from social anxiety is very confronting and difficult. Acknowledging it can make you feel like you have failed in some way. I did EVERYTHING to avoid acknowledging my self-doubt and anxiety! I travelled to over fifteen different countries; I threw myself into work and I partied…… A LOT! Escapism is only a temporary fix. Facing it head on is the only way that you can overcome it.

After many years of digging deep and getting in touch with myself, I discovered who I was. I was ME and I slowly began to like ME! I have evolved into somebody who has many different hobbies and there are not enough hours in my day to fulfill them all! I am happily married with four adorable boys and I never thought that being this happy was even possible.

This journey of self-love led me to pure happiness. It is very much an inner journey and once you tap into this unlimited supply of love, your whole life will change forever. The vibration of everyone and everything in your life will rise to match the vibrational frequency of your self-love! Any people, jobs or environments that are vibrating at a lower frequency will start to drop off as they will no longer serve you.

If you are somebody who is struggling with confidence or anxiety, I would strongly encourage you to take the following steps so you can work towards feeling amazing FOREVER!

  1. Talk about it
  2. Self-care is essential – Book in for some healing and massage and watch your life change
  3. Exercise regularly
  4. Eat nutritional food and drink plenty of water
  5. Ensure you get restful sleeps
  6. Write down 5 things that you enjoy doing
  7. Write down 5 things that you like about yourself
  8. Realise that we are all different and there is no right or wrong
  9. Ensure your environment compliments your personality
  10. Ensure your career matches your personality
  11. Keep the circle of people around you positive
  12. Write some short term and long term goals
  13. Get creative! Write, draw, make something, renovate or restyle your bedroom or home!
  14. Keep your VIBRATIONS HIGH!!! Start at the top of the list and work your way down. Tick off each step as you action it! Oh and ALWAYS remember how AMAZING you are!
